Web poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years numerous variations on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the bank instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the dealer broadcasting "No more bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different gamblers receive 5 cards. After you have looked at your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you must either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s amount is equal to your beginning bet, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes directly to the dealer. After the wager is the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, plus a figure on par with the initial bet. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The bank pony’s up chips even with your original bet and fixed expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
