Concentrate on Annie Duke

Annie Duke may not have captured her first WSOP Bracelet until two thousand and four but she is still one of the most powerful poker players around the live action matches at The Bellagio in vegas. Annie’s long-overdue World Series of Poker bracelet came with a win at the "cast aside game" of Omaha hi/lo.

While players from the "younger crowd" of poker go wild following a big win at the tables, Annie goes back home and becomes "mom" to her 4 children. Annie grew up in New Hampshire and raised into a family of poker players. If you don’t accept that, observe her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who taught her how to bet on the game.

However, Mrs. Duke is no small-potatoes girl and has won her cut of demanding tables, including knocking out Howard along the way on several occasions. They’re both players that have the skill to acquire the large money and do it with a smile.

Annie Duke is a strong competitor at any table because she is a real poker player, but it’s a little more than simply being good at the game. Annie is very smart and graduated from Columbia U where she majored in Psychology and English.

When you take a seat across from her at the table you’ll see Annie Duke is there to compete in the game and she begins "summing" you up from the time you approach the game table. If you cannot gamble like a camp, then do not waste your time.

Earning over three million dollars in tournament competitions, Mrs. Duke became a consultant to both UltimateBet.com and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who was looking to hone his skills and become a power at the poker table.

You may see her at the Bellagio, you’ll observe Annie on the television and you may even participate against her in an internet poker game, but don’t anticipate a simple win. Unless you are a champion-in-the-making, you won’t defeat her. Although, it’d be fun to mention you sat at the same table as "The Duke".
