Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the eastern with the west in a wonderful game for beginner level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the dealer, not like almost all other poker games that players wager against other players. By playing against the dealer, new players don’t have to worry about other, more advanced gamblers taking their mulla.

Another Pai Gow edge is the generally slow game play, novices should be able to take their time and scheme without having to make frenzied choices.

It’s also simpler to gamble on for a very long time with only a small amount of cash since, to lose, each of your hands needs to be lower than each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards face up and the house gets seven cards face down.

One five card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the casino’s.
