Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards faces showing and the casino receives seven cards faces hidden.
One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand have to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be better than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the dealer’s.
